Neil, it was a really good hour!

We moved from software pricing into selling technical support with the software and if it could generate more sales and more profit.

I raised the issue of ISVs being start-ups with limited resources and can they really handle offering technical support by phone - developers and the interruption of telephones is a topic in itself for discussion (and not recommended in the Code Complete book).

However, I am still willing to double the price of our software and see what happens! :)

So, more questions to ponder...

Some very good points raised last night, everyone involved seemed to be coming at the topic from a different angle, with various experiences from some quite diverse markets.

It would be great to have a face to face session bashing it out, it felt quite animated and would be good to discuss over a longer period.

Will definitely sign up for the next web chat, worth spending the extra hour here before heading home.
