Hi, i recently just launched a "register interest" page for my site @ http://blindoptimists.com. Now, having done that, I have no idea on how to start asking people to register their email (without being seen as spammer) provided they have interest with our product idea.
Therefore, i would like to know on what steps/approaches that most of you took when you launched your first product where practically no one knows that you are exist at all?
Hi I see what you are saying - some call me an early adopter, some might also think I should engage more with a community before I go posting things, it's a difficult line to walk on. Most responses I get are positive, I engage further with the positive ones and keep a little black book of the nasty ones (mentally) and don't go out of my way to help the nasty one's further if we meet again (unless they apologize in some way, via a good deal !)
Firstly you need to get a privacy policy and a how to unsubscribe link on your sign up page - most early adopters know the basic set up on a prelaunch page - if there is no privacy policy or unsubscribe links people I know would tell me and that wastes my time as time is money etc.!
"hey Zara you know that site you sent me to ? - it had no privacy policy on it - are you sure they are legit ?"
So you need to get a good prelaunch page sorted out - clear explanation to : who, what, why ,how, where and when ?
Once people know what you are doing they might be tempted to promote for you.
