Suggestions for a simple CRM? Highrise just doesn't cut it & Salesforce = bloatware

I need something that's friction-free between e-mail/address book, cheap, and smooth sharing between coworkers. (Privacy isn't a big issue--I trust all my subcontractors pretty tightly.)

Basically I need tight integration with e-mail... Such as IMAP or POP importing. (there's NO WAY I'm going to go through the hassle of always forward emails to a special address.)

Handy features I'd also like include tight integration with uber simple project management tool.

Right now, I'm looking at HeapCRM, Zoho CRM, and Relenta.

HeapCRM seems simple is really simple, and pulls in e-mails quickly, but I have to initiate it. Zoho is very full-featured (perhaps too much?) and auto-imports e-mails (I think).

Relenta is an entirely different class built around an e-mail centric model...

Any others I should be looking at? Reviews of these three?

I've tried FatFreeCRM but it's in early development now.
Currently I'm looking at the pretty simple timetonote, but it's hosted only and I'm looking for a one I can install at my own server.

Can't comment them on email handling features because I was looking for other features.

I like ZohoCRM for it's simple interface but haven't tried integrating it with email yet. Have you looked into SugarCRM?
